A very good history
Spontella’s Farm was founded in 1956 when, in Ginosa, Vito Spontella established the production of table grapes with sheeted structure, absolutely innovative at that time. It was an immediate success, intended to become the most used productive standard because it absorbs at the most sunbeams, favouring the growth and maturation of bunches.
The ideal climatic conditions and the composition of the soil did the rest: quickly Spontella grapes, and then the apricots, became synonym of quality and abundance, very appreciated by national and foreign markets. Since then, Spontella family has ever been the head of the company, there was the turnover of generations, maintaining the innovative spirit with which the founder revolutionized the production of table grapes.
During the years a lot of improvements were made on the number of cultivated varieties, on the production’s methods, on the adjustment to the international normative standards and overall on the field of packaging and expeditions, which represents today a fundamental advantage for distributors and importers who work on the quality and see Spontella’s farm as an unique partner in the amount of fruit produced on privately lands and reliability in services of packaging and expedition.
There are other challenges facing the farm, now also engaged with integrated pest management and environmental sustainability in order to continue offering the best fruit, respecting norms and consumers’ health. The future seems to be good, right as it once was.

Where we are
We are in Ginosa, in Italy, in Apulia, in the most famous heel of the world. We’re on the hill, here the climate is mild and we look at the near Jonio sea which makes our grounds calcareous, ideal for the production of sweet and full of polyphosphates fruit. Spontella’s agribusiness is extended on an area of about 120 hectares and dispose of offices, warehouses and farms, as well as lands.

We produce in Italy, deliver all around the world: we have a big commercial organization which makes possible the delivery of our products everywhere.
Quotes, orders, payments, expeditions, times, packaging: our sales network has everything under control in order to offer support before, during and after order. A good assistance as much as our fruits.
